The shirt design I made for The Chris Gethard Show went on sale recently in their new online store. I was really happy to see the radical militia group known as The Dolchnakov Brigade modeling them. The shirts are currently sold out, but I'm sure they will add more at some point.

M'aidez in progress
Here are a couple progress images of the figure I've been working on. I have a few more I'll put up at some point.
The armature for the figure was pieced together with some K'nex parts I found at a thrift store. I cobbled it together to try to get the joints proportionate to a body. I cut and re-glued a lot of the pieces to get the sizing correct. I think it has about fifteen points of articulation on it.
I created the hands from scratch. They are made of cut down plastic gift cards or credit card, glue, and bent wire. The hands were very pose-able. They lost a bit of their movement once I sewed the gloves over them.
I use these mini clothespins all of the time to help hold small pieces while glue drys. I think I found them at an A.C. Moore, they are the best. The suit was all hand sewn. I based the suit off of a Mego action figure jumpsuit pattern online. You can see lots of other custom patterns at Mego Madhouse.

M'aidez
I started working on this figure, Lincoln, about two years ago. After getting close to completing the basic figure (minus the backpack, helmet, and boots) we had to go and buy a house. All of the moving, cleaning, and fixing up diverted my attention from this guy. I have been able to return to it over the past couple of months and am almost ready to start working on a short stop motion film, M'aidez, using the figure as its center. Click on the images to enlarge them.
I am going to hopefully fix the light leaking from under the helmet soon. I will upload some more progress pictures in the next few days.

And I'm back...
Sorry it has been a while since I've chimed in. I've been busy working on things. Here is one more little tease before I lay out my current project. I just finished my final assemblage stage which I'm excited about. I'll show some more image of the final result next week. For now here's a peek:
I am not great with electronics, but its fun to take on the challenge of figuring it out. I've done a few pieces in the past with lights, but it feel like I have to relearn a lot of the process each time I come back to it. Here is a little scratch paper of my very simple LED light wiring diagrams:
I will try to stay more regular with my posts in the future. Enjoy your weekend!
